The M4 A1 tank is the beginning of the M4 Family and was out dated when it strated its service already.

Poor armor, poor gun, low speed, no chance to survive.

The Germans nicknamed it "Tommykocher" or "Zippo" because of its intention to burst into flames after the first hit!

Only its numbers were a problem for the German Wehrmacht!

In general the M4 concept was a good one, mostly because it could be driven by anyone able to drive a car!

No long education needed!

But it needed an upgrade fast and so the M4 started its family.
