How to place an order...
48 Special Models is a producer and mail-order company specialised in limited edition resin 48 scale modelkits and collectors items.
We don't have a physical shop!
No VAT due to §19 UstG, small business.
To order items please follow the steps in the E-shop instruction
or send an e-mail!
And please add an expressive attention line to the Attn.-field of your e-mail. We will eliminate all e-mails without an expressive attention line in the rAttn.-field, due to the hugh amount of spam mails we get every day! Thank you.
To forward your order most efficant we need:If the shipping address is different from the mailing address, please indicate.
- your complete name and surename
- your address
- your zip code and city
- your state and / or country
- your e-mail and phone no.
- the way you want us to ship the order (land /sea or airmail)
To identify the Items you like to order we need the following informations:
- manufacturer
- item No.
- quantity
- price of the Item
- the way of payment
- date of order (very improtant in case of price changes or running out items!)
- cash
- PayPal (We accept creditcards by PayPal only!)
You should always sign the order letter.Orders will be send after payment is received. State the way of payment you prefer with your order and confirm your order after we have sent you the invoice.
Important Notice:
All orders have to be prepaid within 7 days after recieving the invoice! Orders that are not paid two weeks after recieving the invoice will be treated as "not wanted anymore" and be cancled without further notice!
There is only a "guarantee of delivery" for orders after complete payment, within two weeks after recieving the invoice. Delivery occures immediatly on availability.
PAYMENT:
All orders have to be prepaid.
All payments must be in Euro!
All exchange fees have to be covered by the customer.
We will charge exchange fees to the customer and will withdraw them from the order amout in case we have to convert currency for you.
We are a member of PayPal. This is the safest and easiest way of paying from outside Europe!
By now the EU offers an EU bank transfer that works like transfering money within your home country. By use of two code numbers called Bank Identifier Code (BIC) and inter. Bank AccNo. (IBAN) you may transfer money form one account to another, within the EU, for the same fees like within your country (only when using the codes). Ask you bank for more information.
We will forward you these codes with the invoice we usualy send when you order and ask you to use this method for paying, because it is as easy as paying in your home country.
Our regular procedure is to send a notification (copy of the invoice) on the total cost when your order is placed (from the shop automatically, by e-mail manually).
After you recieved the invoice including the shipping costs, please confirm it by paying the amount!
As soon as the payment is confirmed by our bank we send out the items on the requested way and let you know by e-mail.
You may as well send your payment cash, in US$ or € by mail, but make sure to recieve an invoice first! On overseas transactions we usualy e-mail or fax the invoice!
If you send US$ please add the exchange fee for converting it to Euros!
If you like to send your payment by mail make sure to send it by registered mail. We don't cover loss or theft of money send to us! It is also a good idea to let us know by e-mail.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING RATES:
After the Brexit Great Britain and Northern Irland have been categorised as Zone 2 (also Swiss) by the German Post AG. We calculate the shipping costs form now on on base of this category!
Attention: Due to the Corona crisis Deutsche Post AG/DHL ships Packages to the USA only as Premium Service with an additional fee of 16.00 Euro extra. We included this fee into the pricelist for USA (Z5)!
Shipping as recorded letter or parcel are not possible at all until further notice!

Please notice that the shipping costs are calculated by a mixture of weight and volume. This leads to the list below. The weights listed here do not necessarily match the real order weight!
Because the Deutsche Post AG/DHL disclosed any merchendise from beeing send as a letter, we are forced to adjust our shipping costs as follows:

Von dieser Widerrufsbelehrung ausgenommen sind nach § 312g Abs. 2 BGB die folgenden Waren und Lieferungen, für die dementsprechend kein Widerrufsrecht besteht:
1. The return right is not valid for cutomized items which need individual collection or manufacturing on customers request or are tailored to the needs of the customer.
2. All sound or video recordings or computer software in sealed packageing, after the seal was broken!
EU Customers may use this return sheet for expressing the will of returning the item!
Please notice that you get this sheet with the invoice.
You may also copy it from this page or our shop.
Please notice that you don't have to tell a reason for returning the order, but you must send a return notice beforehand! This sheet is recommended, but not essential for claiming the right of returning the order!
Also notice that you have to pay the costs of returning the order in complete by now. So please make sure to let us know you will return an order and to pay the complete postage on it! In case of unannounced or underpayed returns we will not accept the shipment!
Proviso clause:
48 Special Models reseves its right for mistake and error, as well as for change in style of products, prices
and fees without further notice! Valid only is the German language version of the TOBs!

„Online-Beilegung verbraucherrechtlicher Streitigkeiten“ in Kraft.
Diese sogenannte ODR-Verordnung (Online Dispute Resolution) hat das Ziel, eine unabhängige, unparteiische, transparente, effektive, schnelle und faire außergerichtliche Möglichkeit zur Beilegung von Streitigkeiten zu schaffen. Diese Streitigkeiten können sich aus dem grenzüberschreitenden Online-Verkauf von Waren oder der Bereitstellung von Dienstleistungen innerhalb der gesamten EU ergeben.

Wie auf der Website der OS-Plattform nachzulesen ist, wird diese voraussichtlich erst im Februar 2016 ihren Dienst aufnehmen – die Hinweispflicht besteht allerdings dennoch bereits ab dem 9. Januar!
