Messerschmitt Me163B Komet, Rocket-Powered Interceptor, 1/32 Plastic Kit.
The Me163B was the most developed but dangerous and fastest aircraft of WWII. Powered by a Walther HWK rocket engine it rose up like a lightning and attacked bomber formations over Germany. So far the Propaganda. Dangerous it was indeed for friend or foe! Its pilots wore a special overall protecting them from the acid which was used as a part of fuel and tended to leak out of the tanks or start to burn. It is said moer pilots died by leaking fuel and fire than in action.
But airborn it became a nightmare to bomber formations and caused panic to the crews. Due to its speed and size it was almost impossible to fight. But at least it came too late and in to small numbers to change anything at last.
The Meng kit contains parts to build one aircraft and one rocket engine and the markings for the German "white 13" and the British "Beuteflugzeug". The model is highly detailed and can be built in several ways, with seperated tail for example.
The kit contains photoetched parts, rupper tires and decals for two versions.
