The P-51D "Louisiana Kid" got its name from the location its owner found it. In Louisiana Mr Heinz picked it up and brought it to Germany, to restore and fly it. And this he did the second time now at Gelnhausen. The specialty of pilot and plane is not to be afraid of people. So this bird has his nest right in the center of interest. Allowing any visitor a close look to and rivet and screw. And also to ask the pilot some questions is no problem too. Thanks for that. It is the closest you can get to the Mustang.

The price for that is that taking a picture ends to be a overcrouded mess with people in any possible position.
